About Me

- My name is Sarah Harris. I am a senior at the University of Tennessee. I am majoring in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education Pre-K-3. I will graduate in the Summer of 09 with a Bachelor's Degree of Science and Human Ecology. I will begin my internship in the Fall of 2009 and will finish with my Master's Degree. I just completed my senior practicum by working in a kindergarten classroom in one of the ELCs on campus. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it helped to confirm my goals to become a teacher. My hope for the future is to become a kindergarten teacher. I have always had a love for children and enjoy being able to help them explore the world around them and learn the necessary skills to succeed in their lives. My mom is a teacher as well, so I am following in her footsteps. Some fun facts about me are that I grew up in Denver, CO and moved to Memphis, TN before my senior year in high school.
